"See You Again" is a song past American country music artist Carrie Underwood. It was written by Underwood, Hillary Lindsey, and David Hodges. It was released as the 4th and terminal single from Underwood's quaternary studio album, Blown Away, on Apr fifteen, 2013. Underwood appear the single on her official Twitter account.[one]

Underwood debuted the vocal on the twelfth season of American Idol on April 4, 2013.[2] "See You lot Again" is Underwood's eighteenth consecutive Superlative 10 unmarried on the Billboard Hot Land Songs chart and is likewise her seventeenth single to exist certified at to the lowest degree Gold by the RIAA. As of December 2013, the single has sold 740,000 copies in the United States.[3] On August 10, 2015, "Run into Y'all Once again" was officially certified as Platinum.[4]

"Come across You lot Again" tells the story of moving onwards after experiencing the decease of a loved one in life. The lyrics provide promise and hope through Underwood's belief that one will reunite with every fallen loved one in the afterlife. Billboard.com described the vocal to be "truly a taste of heaven."[2] Kevin John Coyne of State Universe included the vocal in his personal favorite tracks from the Diddled Away studio album in the website's 2012 year-end countdown of editors' favorite State albums of the yr,[6] as did Matt Bjorke of Roughstock for their album countdown.[seven] Liv Carter of Urban Country News gave the vocal a "thumbs up", adding "what pulls it over the line withal, and presumably why it has become a fan-favorite, is its sincerity in wishing to bring condolement and Underwood's confident performance."[viii] Jonathan Keefe of Slant Magazine was less favorable, saying that "the chorus of ability ballad "Meet You lot Over again" is marred by dated, campy loonshit-rock clichés."[ix]

Commercial performance [edit]

The song debuted at No. 60 on the US State Airplay nautical chart for the week of April xiii, 2013,[10] and peaked at No. 2 for the chart dated September 7, 2013.[11] It entered the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 90 for the chart dated May eighteen, 2013,[12] and peaked at No. 34 for the chart of August 31, 2013.[thirteen] Information technology as well peaked at No.7 on the Hot State Songs chart on August 24, 2013. Every bit of December 2013, the single has sold 740,000 copies in the U.s..[3]

On June seven, 2013, Good Morning America gave a first expect for the music video for "See You Again". The full video premiered soon afterwards on ABCNews.com.[17] The music video was directed past Eric Welch.[18] It showed the aftermaths of the Sandy Claw Elementary School shooting, the September eleven attacks and the 2013 Moore, Oklahoma, tornado, along with various reunions.
